February 11

It is with great sorrow that I write this to you all. Our dear Vera Lael went to be with our Lord Jesus in heaven at 11:15pm on Friday February 11, 2011. Both David and I were with her. As our Pastor shared with us she is better off than any of us. She will not deal with bitterness or anger or sorrow. Her eyes first opened to behold our Lord. We all will struggle to understand these events: A passage I must cling to is Psalm 139. Wherever we are God is there; He knows our future and our past; He has our days numbered before we are born. Understanding His plan is difficult and surely we will mourn for our Vera the rest of our lives. Please pray that as Jesus has healed Vera in her heavenly body so He will heal our hearts.
